Reece Gustafson
Meet the Band
​
Reece’s path to country music wasn’t conventional. A graduate of Houghton University with a degree in biology, he was on track to become a dentist before trading medical textbooks for six strings and the piano. Today, his dynamic performances showcase his talents as a vocalist, guitarist, pianist, and songwriter, bringing passion and authenticity to every stage he steps on.
Ty Gustafson
Ty is "Big, little brother" to Reece. He sings, plays guitar and keyboards. He loves to get the crowd involved and have fun on stage. Having just graduated from college; Ty is looking forward to the summer out on the road.
Ben Shenefield
Lead guitar, and vocals. Ben will captivate the crowd with his creativity and stage presence. His versatile style is unique and captivating, making him one of the most renowned guitarists coming out of the Central Florida area. Catch him on the road this summer, you won't want to miss it.
Dylan Boprey
Drummer, and former Collegiate Baseball player for Houghton University in Western New York. Dylan is a standout musician that brings electric energy from behind the drums. His hard-rock flair makes him a force to reckon with on stage.
Jacob Barone
Bass player with Audio Engineering & Music Production Degree from Daytona State College. Known as JT, he brings a southern rock flair with his bell-bottoms, boots and his rockin' style. JT has been in the Florida music scene since 2019 and has built a reputation of uncompromised skill and unwavering energy on the biggest stages across the U.S.
Andrea Kay
A University of Florida neuroscience alum from South Florida. With a lifelong passion for singing, performing, and writing, Andrea brings an infectious energy to the stage for every performance.
Performance History

Reece Gus & The Fifths are a country/rock band from the state of Florida. They have had the opportunity to play at venues including the Grizzly Rose (CO), Luke Combs Category 10 in Nashville, and Tequila Cowboy (PA) among many others. The band has also been invited to play at Whiskey Jam hosted at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Nashville twice. Reece Gus & The Fifths have opened for artists such as Joe Nichols, Austin Snell, Wade Bowen and Kelsey Hart among others. They have also played amongst artists such as Eric Church and Noah Kahan at the ‘Sing Out Loud Festival’, Fall of 2024 and artists such as Hudson Westbrook and The Red Clay Strays at the 2025 St. Pete Country Fest. The band currently travels the U.S. playing large venues spanning from Florida to Kansas City to Chicago among other large venues in Wyoming, New York, Ohio and throughout the Southeast region. Reece Gus & The Fifths original music falls into the ‘New Country’ category, but their unique sound and high energy performances have earned them a sizable following in the central Florida area as well as in NY, PA, and OH. LATEST RELEASE
'Count On Me' is the bands' latest release (5/1/26). This rock heavy single, featuring Reece and his brother Ty on vocals, speaks to the bands' ability to find a good time. Being on the road presents itself with many opportunities to create memories, and this band epitomizes the theme of the song; Count on them to get 'a little rough' and 'a little rowdy'.
